Soorty Enterprises was honored in the Diamond category at the 2nd Disability Inclusion Recognition Award, hosted by the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan. The recognition highlights Soorty’s sustained efforts to create equitable employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within Pakistan’s textile sector.
Disability inclusion at Soorty is embedded across multiple programs, rather than driven by one-off initiatives. From the PRISM project that strategically places hearing-impaired individuals in high-noise work environments to the Nurah initiative, which supports craftsmanship through inclusive design, our approach focuses on enabling meaningful participation. As the lead of the Karachi cluster in the GIZ Pakistan Community of Practice, we are also working with industry peers to strengthen inclusive workplace policies. This recognition reflects ongoing work toward building accessible, skills-driven employment pathways for all.
