At Soorty, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, enabling them to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Our PRISM project focuses on increasing diversity and inclusion within our organization, optimizing and harnessing the strengths of all our staff members.
PRISM Project: Fostering Inclusion
We prioritize strategic and targeted hiring to match disabilities with workspaces that amplify their potential.
Partnership with NOWPDP: Empowering Differently-Abled Individuals
In partnership with NOWPDP, we empower differently-abled individuals by turning their perceived weaknesses into strengths. Our training facility at NOWPDP has trained over 100 people with hearing and speech disabilities in denim grinding and distortion, leading to sustainable employment opportunities. Sensitization and Sign Language trainings were provided to management and staff to promote openness and acceptance.
Supporting Karachi Down Syndrome Program
As part of our corporate philanthropy initiatives, Soorty sponsored the KDSP Golf Tournament in 2022 and 2023. This fundraising event brought together celebrities, corporate leaders, bureaucrats, and generals to support people with special needs. Participants received Denim Tote Bags as tokens of appreciation.
PRISM Phase 3: Expanding Opportunities
Building on our past success, we have now launched Phase 3 of the PRISM project, expanding our efforts to include persons with Down Syndrome in our workforce. We are partnering with the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP) to create job opportunities tailored to their conditions in our quality and finishing department.
Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Our Workforce
At Soorty, we value diversity and actively hire individuals with various disabilities. We believe that diversity enriches our workplace culture and brings a unique perspective and talent to our team. Our recruitment processes are accessible and accommodating, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates, regardless of their abilities.
