Internship Programs
Soorty is a strong believer in facilitating students from relevant educational fields into experiencing industrial best practices. We partner with International NGOs, universities and vocational institutes, to induct high-performing students for our 6-week internship program at Soorty.
Sponsoring Primary & Secondary Education with TCF
As part of our ongoing efforts to make a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged children, Soorty sponsors the education and operational expenditures at The Citizens Foundation’s (TCF) schools on the outskirts of Katie Bandar and in Gaddap Town, Karachi. This sponsorship is a testament to our belief in the transformative power of education. Through our partnership with TCF, we are providing access to quality education for children who might not otherwise have had the opportunity.
Industry-Academia Linkage: Student Visits
Industrial field visits are vital for students as they provide real-world exposure and practical insights into the workings of industries. These visits offer a unique opportunity for students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms and practical applications in a professional setting. Soorty regularly hosts student visit across all factory units for students from different leading universities and educational institutions to aid growth, learning and curiosity. Some of these Universities include Institute of Business Administration (IBA), NED University, Mehran University, Bahria University and more.

At Soorty, we believe that the industry has a huge role to play in informing and grooming future leaders in the challenges of tomorrow. Our staff members engage with universities, regularly, to offer insights and inspirational talks for students.
Industry Academia Linkage: Knowledge Sharing
Soorty was invited to participate in the Textile Nexus 2021 – an online platform for knowledge sharing organized by Mehran University of Engineering and technology, that was focused on protecting and restoring water-related ecosystems.
Industry Academia Linkage: Encouraging Entrepreneurship
In pursuit of global SDG targets, industries need to collaborate and work collectively. Soorty sponsored the 5th International Textile Conference, hosted by NED University, which tackled industry challenges and fostered sharing of ideas and practical experiences.
Industry Academia Linkage: Upgrading Education Infrastructure
As part of our corporate philanthropy, Soorty sponsored a lecture hall at Habib University, where students are provided a high-quality Liberal Arts education.
Similarly, Soorty sponsored building of a state-of-the-art Computer Lab at the Textile Department of NED University of Engineering & Technology that will cater to the needs of hundreds of students.
