As part of the Rehnuma Project, Soorty Enterprises hosted Abdul Bari, an experienced figure in the denim industry for a motivational session at Unit 5-6. As part of its ongoing commitment to regenerative agriculture, Soorty Enterprises has partnered with SAMA^Verte to launch a Biodiversity Mapping Initiative across Regenagri villages and fields in Punjab. This effort aims to better understand the ecosystems within our farming communities and integrate biodiversity preservation into sustainable agricultural practices.

The Soorty Regenagri Initiative (SRI) focuses on both environmental and social outcomes, revitalizing soil health while supporting local farming communities. Through this new partnership, field-level data on habitats and farming practices will be collected in collaboration with small-scale farmers and local organizations. The findings will inform future strategies for ecological restoration and regenerative agriculture in the region.

Soorty Enterprises has launched its participation in Tchibo’s WE (Worldwide Enhancement of Social Quality) Program, an initiative focused on improving workplace culture through open dialogue, collaboration, and active listening. The program aligns with Soorty’s ongoing efforts to enhance employee well-being and build inclusive systems shaped by worker input.

The first WE Kickoff Session was held at Units 2-3, where the WE team introduced the program’s principles and conducted a joint floor activity with employees across different levels. These direct conversations offered insights into both strengths and areas for improvement within the workplace. By integrating the WE approach, Soorty is working to build structures that reflect employee perspectives and support continuous, worker-driven progress.

As part of our continued focus on building a collaborative and connected workplace, Soorty hosted a group-wide learning initiative titled Building Community at Work. Designed to enhance teamwork and strengthen our organizational culture, the session invited employees from across all units to reflect on how community involvement can support team effectiveness and foster a sense of shared purpose.

The training included interactive components like a tower-building activity, a highlight that brought learning objectives to life through hands-on collaboration. Participants practiced values-based teamwork, honed their communication skills, and explored strategies for overcoming team-based challenges.

Soorty Enterprises introduced Denim Horizons, a new collection built around the idea of expanding denim’s material potential across performance, aesthetics, and comfort. For performance-driven applications, the Workwear group features sturdy 2×1 and 3×1 right-hand twill weaves.

Textural brings dimension to the surface through intricate designs like herringbone, dobby, and ripstop – highlighting denim’s visual and tactile possibilities. Flexible Friends focuses on bi-stretch fabrics that retain an authentic denim appearance, available in a variety of slub levels from heavy to subtle. The collection highlights Soorty’s vertically integrated approach to textile development, offering brand partners a range of purposeful constructions.

Soorty carried out its annual Breast Cancer Eradication Campaign throughout October, with a focus on education, prevention, and early detection. Awareness sessions were held across various units in collaboration with Dow University of Health Sciences, covering key topics such as regular screenings, self-examination techniques, and the importance of early intervention. Where needed, the campaign also supports access to follow-up care, including treatment and surgical support.

Extending beyond the workplace, the campaign included an outreach session conducted in partnership with Patel Hospital and AIMS Institutes at Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Girls School. The session introduced students to essential information on breast health and early awareness, with the aim of fostering long-term health literacy in the community. Through these combined efforts, Soorty continues to support preventive healthcare practices both within the organization and in the broader community.

Soorty had the opportunity to host representatives from the Balochistan Government’s Agricultural Extension Department and WWF Pakistan at our facility, in recognition of the newly announced Organic Cotton Policy for the province. This policy represents a major step forward for sustainable agriculture in Pakistan, supporting non-GMO seed use, increased access to bio-inputs, and environmentally responsible farming practices.

The policy aligns closely with ongoing efforts under the Soorty Organic Cotton Initiative (SOCI), reinforcing our commitment to improving soil health, reducing environmental impact, and supporting organic cotton farmers. With improved market linkages and policy support, farmers will be better positioned to scale production and strengthen their livelihoods

At Soorty, quality assurance is embedded within our operational systems through structured monitoring, traceability, and compliance protocols. These practices ensure that our products consistently meet defined performance and quality standards.

For the 2023 and 2024 (up to August) assessment periods, Unit 10 and Unit 7 have been included in MANGO’s official supplier ranking for Pakistan. Unit 10 achieved 1st place, while Unit 7 secured 4th among the Top 5 Quality Performers. This recognition reflects the outcomes of our internal quality management processes and the collective efforts of our production teams.

On World Cotton Day, Soorty Enterprises marked a significant milestone in its regenerative agriculture journey with the first harvest bale from the Soorty Regenagri Initiative (SRI) in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Cultivated using regenerative practices, this bale reflects ongoing efforts to build a cotton supply chain that prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and farmer well-being.

In collaboration with REEDS Pakistan, the SRI project focuses on reducing environmental impact while improving livelihoods through responsible farming methods.
